Part I: Projection of the number of vehicles and related charging infrastructure by 2035. Part II: How much will it cost and what is happening in neighboring countries.
⚪︎ By 2030, around 6,000 eTrucks could be registered in the Czech Republic (medium scenario), primarily in the segments of urban and national transport
⚪︎ More than 75% of charging will take place on private charging infrastructure with relatively small charging capacities (up to about 100kW)
⚪︎ The total electricity consumption of eTrucks in 2030 will not exceed 1% of the total consumption in the Czech Republic
⚪︎ Achieving 2,000 eTrucks by 2030 is linked with the need for support of at least 4 billion CZK
⚪︎ Key tools for supporting the electrification of heavy freight transport are: (i) investment subsidies for the acquisition of eTrucks and (ii) discounts on tolls
⚪︎ To achieve a comparable level of public support in the Czech Republic as in neighboring countries, it would be necessary to allocate approximately 6 billion CZK to subsidy programs supporting investments by 2026
