The project aims to create an interactive model to assess renewable and low-carbon hydrogen production costs in the Czech Republic. It considers various scenarios for its development, including a higher share of renewables or the growth of modular nuclear reactors. The deliverables will support the implementation of the Czech Republic’s Hydrogen Strategy. With adjustable parameters and a focus on user-friendliness, the model will allow the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) to verify the competitiveness of hydrogen production in CZ under different energy mix compositions and renewable energy surpluses in the grid.
⚪︎ A model for producing renewable and low-carbon hydrogen in the Czech Republic that reflects real conditions and allows for optimization and sensitivity analyses.
⚪︎ Interpretation of the costs of producing renewable and low-carbon hydrogen and verification of results through workshops with the expert public.
⚪︎ A user-friendly and comprehensive model.
⚪︎ Hydrogen production modeled at an hourly level throughout the year, taking into account the seasonal nature of production from renewable energy sources.
⚪︎ Modeling and collaboration with representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
